Sophia Sun holds a Master’s Certification in Public Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an EMBA from Tsinghua University. With over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, she specializes in the mortgage industry. Sophia is the founder and current president of Phoenix Financial Inc., established in 2004. Phoenix Financial specializes in various loan products, including residential mortgages, commercial loans, and construction loans.
Sophia Sun is recognized as a successful Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is a member of Yee Hong’s Capital Campaign Cabinet, serves as the Chair of the Markham Theatre MPAA, and is actively involved in charitable work with the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation Track Everest Team, Mackenzie Health Foundation, the SickKids Foundation and the princess Margaret Foundation.
Sophia has received several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Chinese Canadian Professional Achievement Award and The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award.
